Morning Glory

Katherine Hepburn won her first Academy Award for Best Actress for her portrayal of Eva Lovelace, a small-town girl who takes her aspirations for a stage career very seriously. When she arrives on Broadway, she is taken under the wing of several "mentor" types that ultimately guide her to the top. But everyone warns her not to let her sudden success go to her head. Douglas Fairbanks, Jr. stars as a playwright who gives Eva her first big break.
