Holiday Affair

Robert Mitchum and Janet Leigh star in a warm hearted, holiday romantic comedy. When a department store clerk overhears a young boy's wish for a model train set--which his widowed young mother cannot afford--he purchases the train for the boy, even though he cannot afford it either. This begins a chain of comic mishaps leading to romance, a scheme by the young boy to decide which of his mother's two suitors will succeed ... and a chaotic appearance in night court to sort things out. Based on John D. Weaver's story Christmas Gift.
