Diabolique
When the long-victimized wife and acid-tongued mistress of a sadistic school headmaster collude to commit murder, they appear to succeed perfectly--at first--in the sexy, noir thriller Diabolique. Mia Baran (Isabelle Adjani) owns the prep school run by her abusive husband, Guy (Chazz Palminteri), where his acid-tongued mistress, Nicole Horner (Sharon Stone), teaches. When the two women decide to kill Guy, they meticulously plot execute their crime. But when Guy's body disappears from the carefully chosen dumping spot and a detective (Academy Award winner Kathy Bates) starts to ask very probing questions, Mia and Nicole begin to wonder what the police already know, whom they can trust ... and whether Guy is really dead.
